WARRANTY

 

Terms of Warranty Claim

  • Warranty is limited to manufacturing defects and parts failure and does not cover inappropriate handling, exposure to external conditions or the like. Our products are high quality artisan furniture and deserve to be treated accordingly.

  • All Warranty claims must be sent in writing to Fold Studio, accompanied by proof of purchase and extends only to the original purchaser. Images and proof of manufacturing faults and defects may be requested. We will determine if the claim is valid and notify of the claim result. If the item needs to be repaired, one of our team will consent for the item to be sent back to our factory for repair or replacement (this is determined by Fold Studio).

  • Any surface abrasions or dents will not be covered if they were not reported immediately upon arrival of your purchase

  • Any items sent to us without prior consent will be delivered back at the expense of the buyer.

  • The Warranty covers the cost involved in the repair but excludes any transport or freight costs associated with the approved claim. Products both for under warranty and post-warranty repairs are the sole responsibility of the customer. The customer also assumes full liability for losses or damages resulting from shipping as well as all responsibility to pursue remuneration for such issues with their selected carrier.

  • We will not accept any returns if the item has been tampered with, for example, if it has been repainted or refinished, or if the item has not been used appropriately for it’s intended purpose.

Timber Frames

  • A 12 month Warranty covers the structural integrity of the timber frame. Our frames are made by Master Joiners with care and the intention is that they are enjoyed for a lifetime, subject to their intended use.

  • The timber has been crafted by hand with carefully selected timbers suitable for the intended use of the product. It is a natural product and can change with environmental variables. Environmental conditions can affect the performance and appearance of your screens, causing changes such as shrinkage, expansion, bowing, splitting and colour change, all of which are natural processes and are NOT covered by Warranty. Any damage caused by lack of and/or erroneous maintenance will not be covered also.

  • The screens are not intended for outdoor use or placement. No warranty will be accepted where sun or heat exposure damage is the visible cause.

  •  Finishes are also subject to everyday wear and tear and thus cannot be warranted.

Paper Cord and Fabrics:

  • Environmental factors can affect the performance and appearance of the panels, causing changes such as fading and colour change in the fabric which is NOT covered by Warranty.

  • The general look and feel of the fabric panels is subject to everyday wear and tear and thus cannot be warranted.

  • Warranty will not be accepted unless the damage is clearly visible through mis-handling before changing hands. Fabric will not be warranted unless upon arrival obvious damage to the surface is visible and reported.
